Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, held a meeting with Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the beginning of conversation Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament on the behalf of the whole deputy chamber welcomed in Ukraine Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Arseniy Yatseniuk mentioned a high level of interstate relations between Kyiv and Baku.
During the conversation Parties discussed a number of issues concerning bilateral cooperation of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Particularly, the President and the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada went into problems of energy cooperation between two countries. Both Ilham Aliyev and Arseniy Yatseniuk agrees that this cooperation has to be strengthened. Particularly, Azerbaijan is interested in investments into domestic energy branch and to share experience gained from the work on its own energy market, specifically in modernization of gas-transport systems.
